A group of Brightwater’s budding entrepreneurial clients will host their very own Succulent Mini Market on Sunday 22nd November, with a range of fun activities including quizzes, games and a raffle.
Known as The Weekend Entrepreneurs, the group includes 16 clients from Brightwater’s supported independent living homes for people with a disability in Cannington, Manning and Bentley.
The Weekend Entrepreneurs launched their first mini market in August, raising $800 and selling more than 40 potted succulents. The proceeds have assisted them to purchase supplies and prepare more potted succulents for the upcoming market day.
Brightwater CEO, Jennifer Lawrence, said the project has been a wonderful initiative for the clients involved.
Our Weekend Entrepreneurs are so proud of their work and the project has been a great way to engage our clients with their local community.
At Brightwater, our Mission is to help our clients pursue the dignity of independence and this project has enabled our clients to learn valuable skills in business, marketing and team work, she said.
Prices of the succulents range from $15 - $65 and can be purchased on Sunday 22nd November from 10.00am – 4.00pm outside of Brightwater Bentley at 44 Bedford Street in Bentley.
