Brightwater recently welcomed Ageing Australia Chief Executive Officer Tom Symondsonl, Director Government Relations Liz Behjat and State Manager Gabriella Jerrat to Brightwater Inglewood, providing an opportunity to share insights, strengthen sector relationships and discuss the future of aged care in Australia.
During the visit, representatives from Ageing Australia met with Brightwater Chief Executive Officer Catherine Stoddart, Executive members and General Managers to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the sector, and the importance of collaboration in delivering high-quality care and support for older Australians.
A key focus of the visit was Brightwater’s commitment to research and innovation. Members of Brightwater’s Research team shared how evidence-based practice is helping to improve outcomes, enhance quality of life and inform the delivery of aged care services across the organisation.
The visit also included time with residents at Brightwater Inglewood, offering an opportunity to experience the community and programs that support wellbeing, connection and meaningful engagement.
Cath Stoddart said partnerships between providers, sector bodies and policymakers were essential to building a sustainable and responsive aged care system.
