Keeping connected to Country through art

Life's Possibilties_Oats Street Transitional Rehabilitation client Letisha given art supplies to connect to Country

Sometimes support looks like space to create. 🎨

Thanks to a Life’s Possibilities grant, Letisha received funding for art supplies so she can keep doing what she loves.

Letisha is a Gooniyandi/Ngaanyatjarra designer and artist who grew up on her father’s Country near Fitzroy Crossing. She is currently receiving support through Brightwater’s Oats Street Rehabilitation program, where creativity plays an important role in her everyday life.

For Letisha, art is more than something to do. It’s a way of telling stories, staying connected to Country, and holding onto what feels grounding and familiar.

Having the right materials on hand means Letisha can create when inspiration strikes, in her own time and in her own way. It’s a simple form of support that helps keep creativity, culture and wellbeing close.

We’re excited to see what Letisha creates next.
