I’ve rung and registered interest in residential aged care – what now?
If you’ve spoken to our Welcome Team recently regarding residential aged care, but forgotten what happens next, here’s your reminder.
If you’ve given us a ring our team will let you know the next steps on the phone.
Here are some of the most common situations you may encounter after ringing us.
We’ve taken your interest and you are waiting to hear from us
If you’ve given us a ring and would like to make an application for one of our homes our Welcome Team will have asked you a series of questions about your situation.
If we’ve been able to proceed with your application we will have sent your information over to one of our Engagement Coordinators. They’ll review your information and get in contact with you regarding the suitability of your preferred home.
You’ve been put on a waitlist for your preferred home
The availability of spaces in each our homes can change throughout the year. When you initially ring to enquire, we may not have any availability at your preferred home.
If you meet all of the criteria to match you to your preferred home, and you would like us to, we may place you on a waitlist.
If this is the case, we will take your details to register your interest in our system. Depending on the length of the waitlist, we’ll keep in touch with you over the coming months to let you know what timelines to expect.
If we’ve popped you on a waitlist, you are not ‘locked in’ to Brightwater. You are more than welcome to explore options with other providers, as we understand you may prefer to seek care sooner than spaces becoming available in our home.
Still not sure what’s meant to be happening?
If you aren’t sure what is meant to be happening with your enquiry, don’t stress, give us a call. We are always happy to keep you in the loop.
