Important Update: Brightwater at Home and Capacity Building clients and families

Posted on Sunday, January 31, 2021

Premier Mark McGowan has announced a hard lockdown in Western Australia from 6pm 31 January 2021 until 6pm Friday, 5 February 2021.

You can read more from the State Government here.

This includes a pause on all of our non-essential services for Brightwater’s clients in the community, including Brightwater at Home and Capacity Building clients.

We will continue to conduct essential services for clients and will use Telehealth services where possible.

We will be in contact with you directly if we are cancelling or rescheduling any appointments.

I would like to reassure you that staff have strict infection prevention and control measures in place when visiting clients in their home and we are well prepared for this scenario.

This includes:

  • Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including the mandatory use of masks for all staff whilst at work effective immediately
  • Strong infection control measures include hand hygiene and social distancing where possible
  • Ensuring our staff do not work if they are unwell and that they are tested for COVID-19. Please note, this may mean you have a different worker attending your appointment.

If you would like to speak to someone about these changes, please contact your regular Brightwater Coordinator.

Thank you for your patience and stay safe,
Jennifer Lawrence, CEO
