Your journey from hospital to home.

Brightwater Marangaroo provides a place where you can stay straight after hospital and receive the support you need. We will help you work towards the goal of moving back into the community.

There are 23 bedrooms across four houses, and every bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. Accessible paths and green courtyards connect the four houses, so you can move freely and enjoy the outdoors.

There is an onsite cook making all your meals, and you can enjoy your meals with the company of others in the shared dining areas. Plus there are activities and special events that you can take part in. You will have 24/7 access to supportive nurses and care workers, and on weekdays there are allied health staff to support you.

Our team will be with you at every step of your journey, to make sure you feel comfortable and at home.

Are you or your loved one eligible?

To participate in the program, you will need to:

  • Referred from a Perth metropolitan public hospital
  • Medically ready for discharge from hospital
  • Working towards the goal of moving into community living with supports
  • Aged 16 - 64 years
  • Eligible for funding through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or other funding

Every client receives the support they need to reach their goals, including:

  • Key therapist as the go-to person for you and your family
  • 24/7 access to enrolled nurses and support workers
  • Allied health supports and registered nurses on weekdays
  • Goals that are individual to you
  • Regular reviews of your goals
  • Option to top up your services with your NDIS plan

  • What types of disability does Brightwater specialise in?

    Brightwater supports people with complex disabilities, including neurological, cognitive, psychosocial and physical disabilities.

    We are an innovator in the area of acquired brain injury rehabilitation, and also provide specialist supported accommodation and services for people living with Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease.

  • What funding can I access if I have a disability?

    If you meet the requirements, you may be able to access funding from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). For information about how to get started with the NDIS, click here. 

  • What happens if I am not eligible for the NDIS?

    If you are not eligible for NDIS funding, you may be able to access funding from other sources or self-fund your services.
