Ms Kelly Worlock has been appointed to the new role of Chief Operations Officer for Western Australian not for profit, Brightwater Care Group.
Brightwater Chief Executive Officer, Ms Jennifer Lawrence, said the newly established role will bring Brightwater’s core operational businesses together.
“As our new Chief Operations Officer, Kelly will lead the areas of residential aged care, disability services, clinical excellence and quality, bringing together an important team to drive change and improvement in our core business and support our staff across our residential sites,” Ms Lawrence said.
Ms Worlock has been working with the WA Department of Health for the last 10 years, most recently as the Executive Director Governance and System Support Directorate. As part of this role, she oversaw the deployment of WA nurses to Victorian aged care homes during the COVID-19 outbreak and was an important support to the WA Government in managing the COVID-19 lockdown earlier in the year.
Ms Worlock also led and directed WA health’s system governance and assurance, including health board appointments and providing advice to the Minister for Health, the Director General and senior executives across the WA health system.
