As a lifelong Jimmy Barnes lover, Lisa, a resident at Brightwater Bentley was elated to hear he would headline the 96FM Kickstart Summer Concert. As part of our Life’s Possibilities program, we wanted to do everything we could to grant Lisa’s wish of attending.
“I had an amazing time that evening at the Kickstart Concert. The environment was stunning with the green grass and open air. There were lots of people walking around – singing and dancing, which was very entertaining. I even met some people that I knew a long time ago, and was thrilled to have seen them” said Lisa.
Held at Ascot Racecourse, the concert also featured Daryl Braithwaite, Diesel, Killing Heidi and Thirsty Merc – a line up to write home about! Lisa attended the event along with Disability Support worker, Preet, who donned a big smile throughout the day - almost as big as Lisa’s!
“The show was astonishing, with Jimmy Barnes Music playing most of the time. Jimmy Barnes gave an amazing show and I was so excited to see him on stage singing some of my favourite songs. It was remarkable to be surrounded with Jimmy Barnes fans and listen to their love for him. We had so much in common,” added Lisa.
