We recently received 1,000 cloth masks, donated by a group of wonderful volunteers in WA from an organisation called Get Scrubbed.
Get Scrubbed was started in March 2020, and is a volunteer sewing group who have been putting their skills to good use by making masks, scrub hats and linen bags for Australia’s health care workers. Get Scrubbed have been sewing their creations following strict infection control guidelines and rely on donations for fabric and sewing equipment.
The masks are being stored Brightwater’s linen facility in Malaga, along with our Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) stores. These masks are being supplied to our community clients who might want to wear masks when out and about in the community to help keep them safe.
