In light of Aged Care Employee Day, we are celebrating some of our fantastic employees, who each make a significant difference to the lives of our clients every day.
Meet Tanya
Working at Brightwater The Cove for the past three and a half years, Tanya is known for her versatility and easy going nature. Spending most of her time as a care worker, Tanya has also provided relief work as a therapy assistant, which led to her desire to study towards a certificate in therapy. Tanya now works permanent therapy shifts and has a fantastic connection with each of the residents she works with.
“It doesn’t matter what role Tanya is in, she always remains calm and always works very thoroughly. She has an amazing rapport with the residents she works with. She is kind, caring, honest, reliable and fun. I feel so lucky to have her as part of my team,” says Petina, Therapy Team Leader at The Cove.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role with Brightwater, Tanya said,
“I like to help the residents. I get satisfaction out of seeing their days improve and being able to make a difference. I love when we have fun dress-up days at work, and the residents love to see the staff getting dressed up and looking different.”
Tanya was born in Scotland, and has travelled around there quite extensively. Her dream holiday would be to travel around Europe by rail, so we hope this dream of hers comes true very soon!
