Lorna turns 100!

Brightwater The Village resident turns 100

Last week, we had the joy of celebrating a milestone that’s truly remarkable — Lorna’s 100th birthday! Our beloved Residential Aged Care resident, who has touched so many lives at The Village, was treated to a day filled with love, laughter, and a touch of royalty.

A Celebration Fit for Royalty

The festivities included a stunning performance by Kade and Skye from Class Act Performance, who brought their talent and warmth to the celebration. They even brought flowers and serenaded Lorna with “Happy Birthday” as we unveiled her cake.

Lorna was also showered with gorgeous flowers, lovely cards and gifts, including heartfelt messages from Government House, The Hon Patrick Gorman MP, and a very special letter from King Charles and Queen Camilla! We also included a "What happened 100 years ago" poster on display, which sparked lively conversations and nostalgia among guests.

Among all the thoughtful gifts, Lorna’s favourite was a pair of adorable sloth pyjamas from The Village. She couldn’t wait to put them on and was absolutely thrilled with her cozy new 'fit!

All in all, Lorna’s 100th birthday was a day full of warmth and joy. She was surrounded by her nearest and dearest, which made the celebration even more special. Family is incredibly important to Lorna and having them all there to share in the moment meant the world to her.
