The WA Government today confirmed that some public health measures in Perth and Peel will ease from 6pm today Friday, January 7, however the wearing of masks will continue to remain in place in residential aged care, disability facilities and hospitals, as well as on public transport and in taxis and rideshare vehicles. Masks will no longer need to worn in other public indoor settings. You can read more in the announcement here.
This will mean that all visitors and staff who enter one of our aged care or disability sites will still be required to wear a surgical mask at this time.
Out of an abundance of caution our staff who work with our Brightwater at Home and Capacity Building clients in the community, will also wear masks when visiting clients.
Brightwater is well prepared in this scenario and the safety and wellbeing of our Brightwater community remains our highest priority.
We will continue to keep you updated as we hear more and if there are any updates to relevant State Directions.
