We provide in home care services for Western Australians in the Perth Metro area, from as far south as Pinjarra to as far north as Two Rocks.
Our own research centre puts the spotlight on wellbeing. Plus we have over 120 years experience in the care industry, so you can rest assured that whatever level of care you require, we are there for you.
Whether you've been approved for government funded home care, are yet to start the application process or would like to explore our private in home care services, we can help.
You might just need a cleaning buddy. Or a physio that comes to you. From cleaning and laundry to personal care and nursing, we’ll work with you to put a plan in action, so you can be your best at home. Explore our range of home care services below.
We can lend a hand with the essentials at home, including sweeping, mopping, ironing, dusting, vacuuming and more. Your support worker can keep your bathroom and kitchen spick and span, and can also keep on top of the laundry. We can also help arrange more heavy duty cleaning like upholstery, windows, carpets and ‘spring cleaning’.
Got a green thumb? So do we! Our gardening service includes mowing, pruning, and weeding. We want you to keep doing what you love.
There are lots of products out there that can help you maintain your independence and stay safe.
After an assessment with our physiotherapists or occupational therapists, we can assist with the rental or purchase of mobility equipment, postural care products, and other aids. This includes pressure mattresses, walking frames, wheelchairs, arthritis cutlery and much more.
We can also help you arrange assistive technologies to make your life easier. This includes organising telehealth appointments or in-home monitoring, renting or purchasing iPads and personal alarms or organising computer education.
If a few adjustments around the house can help you live independently, we’re all for it. We can add hand rails and ramps, widen doorways, change flooring or install electrics that improve your day-to-day life.
Improve your mobility, strength and confidence at home and in your community. You can access our wide range of health professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, speech pathologists, music therapists and therapy assistants.
We can also provide massage therapy and lymphedema massage. We’ll work with you to put a goal-oriented plan in action, assisting you with reconditioning and rehabilitation after an injury or stroke or we can develop exercise plans to maintain your strength and mobility. Plus our whole team works together; to make sure you receive the best quality care.
If you want to bake your grandkid’s favourite cookies or make your famous lasagne, just tell us what we can do. Our meal preparation service includes chopping, grating, roasting, sautéing – you name it. We can even help prepare your weekly menu or arrange meal deliveries.
Have peace of mind knowing you can live independently and safely in your own home. In collaboration with your GP, our nursing team can provide the medical care you need. Our clinical services include assessments, wound care, medication management, continence and catheter care, and chronic disease management.
Plus, your care worker can prompt you when it’s time to take your medication. In consultation with our nursing team, we can help you keep track of your Webster Pack and assist in applying topical creams or eye drops.
Feeling and looking your best will never go out of style. Your support worker can be on stand-by if you need extra support. Our personal services include hair care and shaving, make-up and beauty, getting dressed, oral health, continence management and showering.
If you want to get more involved with the community, you can. We can arrange day trips and activities for a nice change of scenery. You could take up a new course, play a game of chess or simply visit the library.
Your support worker can accompany you to appointments and social events with their own transport. We can arrange to drop you off or pick you up from somewhere, including the hospital. And if you want to get out and about on your own, we can even arrange taxi vouchers.
You can tick off your to-do list a whole lot quicker. Your support worker can help do the shopping, whether that’s for everyday groceries or birthday and Christmas presents. We’ll help you come up with ideas and can lend a hand when it comes to wrapping. And if you need to pop in to the pharmacy, post office, or drycleaner, that’s no problem.
We all need a break now and then. Maybe there’s a to-do list to tick. Or maybe someone just needs to be a daughter again. Whatever the reason, our respite services are there so carers can take a breather whenever they need. Our Brightwater at Home team is trained to provide respite and care for people in their own homes, so there’s no need to worry.
As part of our respite care service, our support workers coordinate meaningful activities and interactions during daily visits, or a couple of visits per week. This gives our clients the chance to experience new things, while giving carers the chance to take some time out.
If you’re ready to go home but need a hand getting things in order, we can help you get settled. Our at home care service includes picking you up from the hospital, grabbing the groceries and planning your meals, looking after the laundry, getting the paper and the mail and setting up your home so you’re comfortable.
If you’ve spent some time in hospital, we can help make the shift back home smooth and stress-free. If you’re medically stable but still need time to recuperate, our transition care program can help you get back on your feet. You’ll need to be assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), but don’t worry – hospital staff can help arrange this. If you qualify, we’ll provide care services in your home for up to 12 weeks. Our trained team can provide all the assistance required, including:

For over 100 years, we’ve been there for West Australians from all walks of life. With humble beginnings in Subiaco, today we provide services all across Perth.
We are the only WA home care provider with a dedicated Research Centre – a hub of discovery and innovation, collaborating with national and international universities to find innovative solutions to improve the quality of lives of our clients.
We were selected in 2018 to run the Australian pilot Specialist Dementia Care Unit, accommodating clients who would otherwise require care in a hospital setting and our learning will influence the whole industry in the coming years.
Anyone assessed by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) as needing coordinated services to help them stay in their own home can be eligible for a home care assistance package. This includes individuals who need multiple services and support to live independently.
We've got everything you need to know about the ACAT assessment available here.
Home care in Australia is funded by the Australian government, and the individuals receiving the home care services. The government provides subsidies under the Home Care Packages (HCP) program as well as the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and individuals may also contribute with a co-payment depending on their financial situation.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is designed to provide services and assist younger people with a permanent and significant disability, whereas home care packages are aimed primarily at older Australians who need support to continue living at home.
Home care packages do not cover daily living costs such as rent, mortgage payments, food, and utilities. They also do not cover services unrelated to care needs, such as occupational therapy or social outings that are purely recreational and not linked to health outcomes.

To be assessed for a care package, you must apply through the My Aged Care website and undergo an assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT). The assessment will determine your care needs and eligibility aged care services.
Getting a home care package can be highly beneficial if you need support to manage day-to-day tasks and want to stay in your own home as you age. It provides tailored care and support services based on individual needs.
A level 2 care package provides a low level of care designed for people who need support with daily tasks and some health services. It is one of four levels, with each level offering increased support.
We've got everything you need to know about the home care levels here.
The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) offers entry-level home support services for older people who need assistance staying independent and continuing to live at home. In contrast, Home Care Packages provide more complex, coordinated, and customised care.
A level 3 care package is designed for people with intermediate care needs. These packages provide a higher level of support, including more comprehensive help with health and social support and services.
We've got everything you need to know about the home care levels here.
