How we do it

Brightwater provides support for adults with complex disabilities. We are specialists in a wide range of neurological conditions such as stroke, damage to the brain caused by substance abuse or disease, and multiple sclerosis. We assist people living with neurological disabilities to live more independent lives and help them live their best possible life.

Our specialist Capacity Building team combines therapy and support to help clients improve skills, perform daily tasks more easily, improve their independence, and stay connected to family and their local communities.

We tailor our support to suit each client and their individual needs. We have flexible options for people who live in their own home or we can provide supported independent living (SIL) accommodation. Our multidisciplinary team includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, psychologists, dieticians and social workers. Our support includes:

  • Pre-planning
  • Supported independent living accommodation
  • Therapy services to build skills for living
  • Specialist equipment and assistive technology
  • Support coordination and specialist support coordination
  • Behavioural assessment and support.
