Important Update: All Brightwater clients and families 8 February 2021

Posted on Monday, February 8, 2021

Thank you for your ongoing patience in what was a challenging week for us all last week. I am again heartened by the vigilance of our community – both within Brightwater and across Western Australia.

The State Government has now published updated Directions for Visitors to Residential Aged Care Facilities (No 6). You can read more here.

Whilst the Directions (No 6) still do not permit visitors to residential aged care and disability care homes, allowances can be made for visits for the purpose of providing care and support.

A care and support visit is to assist those clients who have care and support visits from a family member or visitor, provided that no more than one person is visiting a client at any given time.

There is no limit on time for the visit, but the visitors must wear a mask and follow all infection control principles including hand hygiene. Previous screening requirements apply and the visitor must sign in via Zipline, as per our standard practice.

We are asking visitors to either ring the site to make these bookings directly or to book via Zipline again.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us by filling out this form.

Thank you for your continued support,
Jennifer Lawrence, CEO
