Brightwater Care Group CEO Jennifer Lawrence has been appointed to the Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission (DAACM) expert advisory panel, funded by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).

Ms Lawrence will take her place alongside a leading group of industry experts from across Australia, to provide the Minister for Health with advice on the strategic priorities for research investment through the Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission.

The Dementia, Ageing and Aged Care Mission is a research program that is investing $185 million to support older Australians to maintain their health and quality of life as they age, live independently for longer, and access quality care when they need it.

>> To increase the success of the Mission, I encourage you to provide your valuable input into the Mission Roadmap by visiting the Department of Health Consultation website.  Your feedback will assist in setting key priorities for future funding.

The panel’s role will focus on defining evidence and knowledge gaps that should be addressed through Mission research funding, to assist in transforming health care and health outcomes for individuals and communities.

Ms Lawrence commented, “At Brightwater, we recognise the essential role that research plays in improving the lives of our clients. Our dedicated Brightwater Research Centre strives to promote a research culture that reflects Brightwater’s mission. I look forward to the opportunity to leverage my industry experience in assisting with nation-wide research, aimed at supporting older Australians to maintain their health and quality of life as they age and live independently for longer.”
