For Jaydon, the world of combat sports has always felt like home.
Before his brain injury, he was a professional kickboxer, living and breathing the discipline, adrenaline and community that come with the sport. It's a world he knows well, and one that's shaped a big part of who he is.
So when the chance came up to attend a Muay Thai combat event in Claremont on 5 November, it was a no-brainer.
Thanks to support from Life’s Possibilities, Jaydon was able to be there in person, right among the buzz of the crowd. From the sharp crack of kicks to the roar of supporters, the night had all the familiar sights and sounds that make live fight events so electric.
Being ringside meant soaking up the atmosphere and watching the action unfold up close. It brought back familiar feelings and offered a powerful connection to something that still holds real meaning for Jaydon, even as life has changed.
The event organisers went above and beyond, setting up a dedicated space to comfortably accommodate Jaydon’s wheelchair. This small but thoughtful gesture meant he could focus on the experience itself — the crowd, the energy and being part of it all.
