Professional Development Opportunities
Graduate Registered and Enrolled Nursing Program
Our graduate program provides newly qualified registered and enrolled nurses the opportunity to consolidate and develop clinical and professional practice. Kickstart your career in a safe, supportive environment with a dedicated coordinator overseeing the program and onsite mentors providing guidance, support and supervision.
Bright Leaders Program
The Bright Leaders program is a dedicated program to help managers, coordinators or team leaders develop their leadership skills. With 19 half-day workshops covering ‘people skills’ such as emotional intelligence, team motivation and people management processes, Bright Leaders are equipped with the skills for modern team leadership.
Brightwater Traineeships
Kick-start your career by combining practical work experience and structured training. You’ll get the skills and knowledge you need to be great at what you do. Be paid to work and study over 12 to 36 months and attain nationally recognised qualifications in sectors such as ageing, disability, home and community, laundry operations and business.
Scholarships
Brightwater offers scholarships for clinical staff to complete further training to enhance their skills in an aged care and disability setting. Current scholarships include further training in wound management, health leadership and transitioning practice to aged care.
Free or subsidised training
Aged care empowers you to continue growing your skills and enhance your knowledge to progress your career or specialise in a particular area. The WA State Government has recognised the importance of the aged care industry and offers pre-traineeships in aged care; aged care training; and reduced fees on certain qualifications.
