Brightwater’s Transitional Accommodation Program is for people with an acquired neurological disability or complex care needs following a hospital stay. It’s a sanctuary designed to help people with a permanent disability build the skills required for daily living routines.
Clients stay at Brightwater Marangaroo, which is located in a quiet residential community north of Perth. There are 23 rooms in four recently renovated houses where residents live comfortably while transitioning from hospital to independent living or long-term supported accommodation.
Residents enjoy:
Brightwater Marangaroo clients arrive straight from the hospital and usually stay for a year or less. They receive support to rebuild daily living routines to help them move back to the community. Programs are developed by an interdisciplinary team of support workers and allied health and medical professionals, to ensure the best possible outcome for clients.
Each client works on their own goals to suit their individual challenges.

We help clients and residents to thrive, connect and belong through best practice, compassionate care.
For over 100 years, we’ve been there for West Australians from all walks of life. With humble beginnings in Subiaco, today we provide services all across Perth.
We are the only WA home care provider with a dedicated Research Centre – a hub of discovery and innovation, collaborating with national and international universities to find innovative solutions to improve the quality of lives of our clients.
We were selected in 2018 to run the Australian pilot Specialist Dementia Care Unit, accommodating clients who would otherwise require care in a hospital setting and our learning will influence the whole industry in the coming years.
