What Can I Use My Home Care Package (HCP) Budget On

Home Care Packages provide individuals the ability to stay independent, at home and in control of their aged care services. Depending on your Home Care Package level, you will have a different budget to spend on home care and services.

Your HCP funds need to be spent to support your needs as outlined in your care plan, which is initially created at your ACAT assessment. This care plan forms part of your agreement with your aged care provider.

You can use your package budget to access a range of care options and services including, but not limited to:

Personal Care – Brightwater at Home’s personal services include hair care and shaving, make-up and beauty, getting dressed, oral health, continence management and showering. As feeling and looking your best will never go out of style.

Physio, Podiatry & Other Allied Health - Improve your mobility, strength and confidence at home. The Brightwater allied health team includes a wide range of health professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, reflexologists, dietitians, social workers, speech pathologists, music therapists and therapy assistants.

Nursing - In collaboration with your GP, the Brightwater at Home nursing team can provide the medical care you need. Our clinical services include assessments, wound care, medication management, continence and catheter care, and chronic disease management.

Transport - Your support worker can accompany you to appointments and social events with their own transport. We can arrange to drop you off or pick you up from somewhere, including the hospital. And if you want to get out and about on your own, we can even arrange taxi vouchers.

Aids & Equipment - We can assist with the rental or purchase of mobility equipment, postural care products, and other aids. This includes pressure mattresses, walking frames, wheelchairs, arthritis cutlery and much more.
