Jason may have shifted out of home, but he certainly hasn’t shifted away from what he loves. 🎳
Every Saturday, like clockwork, you’ll find him lacing up his bowling shoes, repping his league shirt and completely in his element. This weekly ritual has been part of his life for years — one that brings joy, grounding and a sense of “this is who I am.”
Living with young onset dementia comes with its challenges. Daily routines change, decision-making becomes harder, and familiar tasks sometimes need extra support. But at Brightwater, we believe that moments of joy shouldn’t be left behind — they should be built into everyday life.
That’s why Jason’s bowling Saturdays remain a non-negotiable part of his week. Our Supported Independent Living team makes sure he has the support he needs to get there, stay engaged, and enjoy every moment. Because staying connected to the things that light you up matters more than ever when life becomes uncertain.
For Jason, that spark is bowling… and we think that’s pretty special.
It’s a reminder that passions don’t disappear with a diagnosis — and with the right support, neither does the ability to live a life filled with meaning.
