Cuppa for Dementia brings YOD community together

Cuppa for Dementia_Brightwater Younger Onset Dementia House raises funds for vital cause

Residents, families and staff from our Young Onset Dementia (YOD) homes recently came together for a Cuppa for Dementia morning tea — a relaxed and meaningful opportunity to connect, reflect and raise awareness for a cause close to our community’s heart.

The event raised $219 for Dementia Australia, helping support the vital services, education and advocacy they provide for people living with dementia and those who care for them.

The morning was made even more special thanks to the generosity and teamwork of our staff. Disability Enrolled Nurse Alison prepared a delicious spread for everyone to enjoy, while SIL Coordinator Chenae and the team thoughtfully planned the event to ensure it was welcoming and enjoyable for all.

Moments like this highlight the strength of our YOD community — staying connected, supporting one another and creating meaningful experiences together.
