Celebrating Pride, joy and being yourself

For Dean, Pride is something he looks forward to.

This year marked the third time Dean, from Warnbro Supported Independent Living, attended the Pride Parade. He dressed up for the occasion and headed out into the community to be part of an event that holds real meaning for him.

Dean identifies openly and proudly as LGBTQIA+. For him, Pride is about joy and self-expression. It’s an opportunity to celebrate who he is and to do so without fear. Being part of the parade allows Dean to feel connected, seen and supported.

When staff checked in with Dean after the event, he shared a big smile and a thumbs up, showing just how much he enjoyed the experience.

Through Life’s Possibilities, we’re proud to continue supporting Dean from Warnbro Supported Independent Living to take part in experiences that celebrate who he is, strengthen his connection to community, and bring genuine joy.
