Bonding days at Perth Zoo

Brightwater's Aylesford clients from Supported Independent Living house enjoy a day out at Perth Zoo thanks for Life's Possibilities program

There’s something about a day at the zoo that brings people together.

Recently, clients from our Supported Independent Living house enjoyed a fun day out at the zoo, spending quality time together and enjoying a change of scenery. It was all about being out and about, sharing the day and making the most of time together beyond the home.

Agnes was quick to spot every animal she came across, happily pointing them out to the group as they wandered through the exhibits. Her excitement set the tone for the day and gave everyone something to smile about.

Jaydon shared a lovely moment when a curious young visitor stopped to say hello. A friendly wave and a smile were exchanged, creating a small but special interaction that clearly brightened his day.

Brett enjoyed taking it all in at his own pace. With a coffee and some chips in hand, he soaked up the experience alongside his friends, especially enjoying spotting his favourites like the monkeys, spiders and snakes.

Days like this don’t have to be big or busy to matter. Spending time together, sharing laughs and enjoying something different can turn into memories that stay with you for a long time.

We’re glad to support outings like this, helping people stay connected, enjoy the community and create lovely moments.
