Why do I have to come through the one single point of entry each time I visit?
The risk of COVID-19 increases with age and the highest rate of fatalities has been amongst older people and those with weakened immune systems.
The Department of Health has produced guidelines around the management of visitors to aged care facilities in order to protect older and vulnerable Australians.
These guidelines outline screening procedures which must be undertaken for each visit, including:
- Proof of an up to date flu vaccination
- Temperature checks
- Screening questionnaires
- Entry via one single point of entry to facilitate screening being performed
